“ I HAVE EATEN AT ALL THE PLACES ST SETAI. Last visits were good and some so so but today lunch at the OCEAN which was outrageous in price: thank God for expense accounts but it was a special meeting and the staff here pulled it off EXCEPT just as last time THE BAR STAFF is not consistent. But if the drink is a failure, send it back. This time the food was consistent through out the meal. But what put it over the top was the dining staff. Maybe the new manager from Uzbekistan. I met him and shared I had been to Uzbekistan and complemented him on tweaking the service. Maybe on the drinks at the bar maybe you should be very specific on how you like your drink made. BUT CANNED LYCHEE IS UNFORGIVABLE AT THESE PRICES. 4 drinks with tax tip 100. I know tourists are here and that is why the tip is mandated but this time the tip was worth it and I actually gave the waitstaff extra. It was a special day and they didn’t let me down. The octopus was exceptionally prepared. A lot of places burn it. The crab cake and I am a Virginian and grew up crabbing was excellent. The tartar sauce wasn’t bad, just so so. It needed a little twang. Hostess was very polite. ”
“ We just loved it here, we came to Miami for a quick getaway and we really wanted to have a great dinner, and we did it right picking this restaurant. Our server David was very polite, look professional knowing what he was doing. We already took a look of the menu before arriving so we knew already what we were going with. The octopus grilled was on point and delicious sauce, the truffle pizza is sensational; thin and crispy with a lot of cheese and flavor. And as a main course a New York strip steak medium, it was cook medium rare but not complains, lightly salted but our 3 years old kid just loved. Everything in general was excellent. ”
“ Such stunning vibes.. i was there to prepare a VIP invitation. All the atmosphere was perfect and elegant. Food is quality. But i was put in a memo that i need ocean view for 3 people, and when i checked in, they never asked about the seat preferation. Im afraid that they will put a seat for our VIP at the ocner next to the entrance.. servis was ok but not matching with this elegant vibe . Sever was ok .. maybe he was busy or tired ... but never smiled and attitude it not that i expected on these luxurious setai hotel restaurant. Or maybe they just think this asia guy just stop by for a salad.. but i ordered a lot for a food test . I will bring my VIP (VP of global company ) here next weekday .. hope all goes well .. ”
“ I had lunch today at Ocean Grill at The Setai in Miami Beach and it was everything I love about dining by the ocean. The setting is right on the beach with a perfect view of the water and the breeze coming off the ocean made it feel like a little escape. I ordered the crab cakes and the salmon carpaccio along with a frozen peach bellini and every bite was fresh and full of flavor. The crab cakes had this crispy outside with a tender center and the carpaccio was light and beautifully presented. It wasn’t overly crowded and the staff was super friendly and attentive without being over the top. The whole experience felt calm and elevated which is hard to find in a busy beach town. Sitting at a beachfront restaurant in Miami with great seafood and the sound of the waves nearby is just one of those things you can’t beat. If you’re looking for a luxury lunch spot in South Beach with an oceanfront view and high quality seafood Ocean Grill at The Setai is easily one of my top picks. I’d go back in a second and probably order the exact same thing. Make sure to grab a seat facing the beach and take a few photos because the food and the view are both worth sharing. ”
“ With an Ocean front setting, this is a great stop for a meal coming from the adjacent beach(es), or while visiting the area. The open air feel and general ambiance adds much to the overall experience. The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff. We had lunch there yesterday and could not have been more satisfied. We had a number of appetizers, including a Greek Sampler plate with delicious dips, a Greek salad with fresh feta and crispy vegetables, with the real treat being the Crab cakes. The entrees were no less sumptuous, with the well done Wagyu Skirt Steak and the mouth watering Chilean Seabass making the meal a delight. Topped off the meal with a hearty portion of the Chocolate Cherry cake, with an accompanying Birthday greeting for a very special person. The service by Andres was great, and we left very pleased with every intention to return when visiting the area again. ”
